The GeoTec target audience is divided among industry, academia and the public sector. Our theme—The New Geospatial Enterprise: Integrating Government, Industry and Research—relates to these diverse groups and their individual priorities.
By attending GeoTec Event 2011, delegates will see, through a variety of scenarios and case studies, the myriad ways in which technology is being applied and utilized. The focus will be on enterprise integration, as well as on the business aspects of geospatial technologies, and the role of these in the workplace, rather than on the "nuts and bolts" of the technology. Presentations will address the cutting edge of technology in ways never imagined.
What differentiates GeoTec from other large conferences is that it brings together, in one event, professionals from all relevant sectors and focuses on the interests of the immediate community in which the conference is held. Instead of being forced to attend a series of specialized events held in venues around North America and the world, attendees have the opportunity to experience a comprehensive program that encompasses virtually every aspect of geospatial trends and applications.
Typical attendees include representatives from:
· Public Works/Telecommunications/Utility
· Federal Government
· State/Local/Regional Government
· Emergency/Public Safety (Fire/Ambulance/Police/911)
· Environmental/Natural Resource/Forestry Management
· Hardware/Software Development
· Consulting/Technical Services
· VAR (Value-Added Reseller)
Mark your calendar and plan to attend Canada's premier geospatial technology event, Sept. 29, 2011, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
